Meta introduces new features for WhatsApp Business

Meta-owned instant messaging service WhatsApp has launched a new feature that will allow users to connect with brands and make purchases directly within the service.

This functionality is called “Business Search,” and it’s designed to help users “search, message, and buy” from businesses on WhatsApp.

According to the company, its employees in Brazil are now talking about how to make the entire purchase process instantly on the chat service. In August this year, WhatsApp introduced its first all-in-one shopping experience on WhatsApp with JioMart in India.

With this update, business discovery is introduced from within WhatsApp, now allowing users to explore companies by category, such as travel or banking, or search by company name.

This will make it less important for people to search for phone numbers on websites or type them in manually. It also notes that the company designed its research to protect users’ privacy. Your search is processed in a way that prevents it from being associated with your account.
